HFES HART Video Contest
We invite you and any of your colleagues to participate in our HFES HART Video Contest! You can submit videos related to all aspects of Human-AI-Robot Teaming (HART) research and applications. The videos should be self-explanatory, of scientific relevance, and fun to watch. They will be peer-reviewed and voted on by HART TG members. The videos will be posted on HART TG website, HFES annual conference, and HART TG YouTube Channel. The top three rated videos will receive cash rewards.
- First place: $200
- Second place: $100
- Third place: $50
Guidelines and Requirements:
- The video should highlight your HART application and in particular the teaming aspects, either how you are designing for teaming or how the teaming works in action. Make sure your video includes a project/product with: (a) humans, (b) AI or robots, and (c) teaming between humans & AI/Robots.
- Video content is expected to be high quality and to have human voice-overs or captions for explanations of the content.
- The video should not exceed 3 minutes.
- Our recommended video format is .MP4.
- The videos should NOT be anonymized for review.
- Video authors will be asked to sign a release granting permission to use the video content for the HFES conference. Copyright of the video remains with the author. Video authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any third party copyrighted material (music, video, images, etc.) in the video. Such content should not be included unless permission has been obtained prior to submission.
Submission Instructions:
Please submit a video and an abstract to hart.hfes@gmail.com, with a title:
“AuthorLastName_HART Video Contest 2022”. You can place the video and the abstract in a shared folder (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox), and then share the link to the folder (example) in your email.
The abstract must include:
- Title
- Authors (names, affiliation, and email).
- Abstract (max. 150 words) and keywords.
- Description of the video, including both a technical overview and an explanation of novelty, importance, and/or usefulness.
- The length of the abstract and description should not exceed 1 page.
Evaluation:
HART TG members will receive an email after the submission deadline to vote for the best videos, along with guidance on the core criteria.
Important Dates:
- September 15, 2022: Deadline for video submission
- October 5, 2022: Notification of acceptance and votes
- October 10-14, 2022: Video Broadcasting during the HFES In-person Conference
