National Standards Development Ideas Sought for Guide

National Standards are being developed for manufacturers, testing labs, and purchasers to determine if products are suitable for use applications. Products and systems that have humans as users or components require standards that are sensitive to the variability that may be unintentionally introduced by experimenters and subjects.

ASTM F48 committee is initiating the development of a Human Factors Guide for Developing Standard Test Methods. We need the ideas and contributions of HF professionals, students, and faculty who have pondered these human variability issues in research and product usability studies.  We don’t want your ideas left out. Volunteer to be included in the advisory committee for this first-of-a-kind guide.
