Position Available: Vice-President of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, BAuA (Germany)

The Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (Bundesanstalt für Arbeitsschutz und Arbeitsmedizin, BAuA) is a departmental research institution within the jurisdiction of the Federal
Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales, BMAS). We conduct research, advise policymakers, and promote knowledge transfer in the field of occupational safety and
health (OSH). Furthermore, we contribute actively to European chemicals regulation and operate the DASA Working World Exhibition, an educational attraction that explores how work is currently being
transformed. About 800 employees work at our sites in Dortmund, Berlin, and Dresden. 

We are seeking to appoint a Vice President (f/m/d) Federal Remuneration Scheme B (Bundesbesoldungsordnung B), Salary Grade B 3/ AT B 3 Non-collective Agreement Remuneration Package
Full-time / Part-time at the earliest possible opportunity.    


BAuA’s research and development activities are inspired by the guiding principle of human-centred work design anchored in the German Safety and Health at Work Act (Arbeitsschutzgesetz, ArbSchG),
with the Institute pursuing lines of research that have long-term goals and are intended to address the challenges of the future. In doing so, it engages actively with the scientific community, policymakers,
and social partners. In its strategic fields of action BAuA further develops its research lines and focuses its research, policy advice, regulatory activities, and transfer work consistently on the structural, social,
and technological changes in the world of work.
