The IEA Informal Work Technical Committee conducts a free webinar series to share information about the nature of informal work, its relationship and implications for ergonomics and human factors (E/HF) and research occurring at the intersection of informality and E/HF around the world.
Their next webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, December 4, 2024, 16:00hrs UTC, on "Ergonomic Design, Development, and Research in the Informal Sector in Latin America."
Organized by the IEA Informal Work Technical Committee in collaboration with the National University of Córdoba, this webinar will feature projects by universities in Latin America illustrating the integration of ergonomics principles and industrial design to address issues in informal work contexts within their respective regions. The objective of this webinar is to demonstrate how an interdisciplinary approach in ergonomics education and training can enhance the health and well-being of workers in informal employment, providing practical and sustainable solutions that positively impact their daily activities.

This 90-minute webinar will have two presentations in Spanish and one in Portuguese, and with English subtitles, followed by a 30-minute live Q&A with English/Spanish/Portuguese translators. Registered attendees can complete a brief post-webinar survey to receive an e-certificate of completion.
