Nominations for IEA Awards due to HFES by June 10

Nominations for two prestigious awards bestowed by the International Ergonomics Association, the IEA/Kingfar Award for Research in Human Factors/Ergonomics Issues, and the IEA/Tsinghua Award for Collaborative Human Factors and Ergonomics Education, are being accepted by HFES for those who are members of our Society. The nomination submission due date is June 10, 2023. This date enables HFES to follow our protocols which include forwarding to the IEA nomination packages endorsed by HFES.
The IEA/Kingfar Award for Research in Human Factors / Ergonomics Issues (The IEA/Kingfar HFE Research Award”) is granted annually to early career professionals to promote and reward high-quality original research and applications on new and emerging HFE issues or issues specifically related to industrially developing countries, as well as to promote a career path in HFE. The IEA/Tsinghua Award for Collaborative Human Factors and Ergonomics Education (The IEA/Tsinghua HFE Education Award) is given annually to honor persons (e.g., researchers, teachers) who, through international and/or inter-regional collaboration, have made significant and outstanding contributions to the success of postgraduate educational programs that include human factors/ergonomics (HFE) courses or substantial HFE content in the curriculum.The intent of this award is to mobilize educators worldwide for HFE education.

Nominations may be emailed to HFES by 5:00 PM EDT on June 10, 2023. Nominations must include a "starter" letter of nomination. This is a nomination letter authored by the individual seeking the award. HFES may modify the letter and will affix our signature to it. We will forward selected nominations to the IEA by their deadline.
