President-Elect
Each nominee for President-Elect must also have been a Full member of HFES for 5 years and must have served previously on the Executive Council (EC), or served as a Division Chair, or Chair of the Annual Meeting Technical Program Committee. If an individual has not served on EC previously, but has been a Full member of HFES for 5 years; and has served previously within HFES in an elected position or as a committee, task force, or group chair, or as an appointed member of an EC committee (e.g. Finance and Budget Committee), the requirement to have served on EC or as a Division Chair may be satisfied by participation in the EC Prep Academy. Individuals who last served on EC more than 3 years ago shall complete a truncated version of the EC Prep Academy.
Secretary-Treasurer-Elect
Each nominee for Secretary-Treasurer-Elect must also have been a Full member of HFES for 5 years and must have served previously within HFES in an elected position or another leadership role, or as an appointed member of an EC committee (e.g. Finance and Budget Committee). If an individual has not served on EC previously, going through the EC Prep Academy is encouraged.
