Call for Participation: Early-Career Faculty Academy

Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) Annual Meeting - ASPIRE


Are you a faculty member navigating the early stages of your academic career? The Early-Career Faculty Academy held during the 69th International Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Annual Meeting - ASPIRE is designed specifically for you!

Join us for engaging and interactive sessions that address the unique challenges faced by new faculty in human factors, ergonomics and related disciplines. Whether you are refining your research agenda, balancing teaching and service, seeking external funding, or growing your professional network, this academy offers valuable insights and support to help you succeed.

Participation Requirements

To participate, attendees must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a pre-tenure full-time faculty member, with preference given to those in their first three years of a tenure-track or equivalent academic position.
  2. Submit a brief application (single PDF file), including:
  • Nomination letter from a department chair/head (two pages maximum)
  • Nominee’s Curriculum Vitae
  • A short candidate biography (200 words maximum)
  • A statement of interest, including specific topics or questions you'd like addressed (300 words maximum)
