Provided Meals
Full registration to the Symposium includes the opening welcome reception (light food stations included and one beverage ticket provided), daily coffee breaks, a buffet lunch on Monday, March 31, and light refreshments at the Monday and Tuesday poster sessions. Those who register for the optional March 30 Robotics Summit will be provided a plated lunch. Lunch is not provided for workshop registrants. Lunch on Tuesday is on your own. The Symposium concludes by Noon Wednesday so no lunch is provided that day.
How to Get to the Venue
The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto is located 28 km (17.4 miles) from the Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), which takes 20-25 minutes by car.
Another easy way to get from the airport to the venue is to take the Union Pearson (UP) Express, which operates every 15 minutes throughout the day and reaches downtown Toronto in 25 minutes. Once you get off at the Union Station stop, the Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto is located a 10-minute walk away, or you may take a short taxi ride.
For those taking public transportation, the venue is located near the Bay St bus station as well as the Union Station subway and train station. View the TTC transit system map.
Climate
Canada’s largest city and the capital of Ontario, Toronto’s climate is continental, with cold winters and warm summers. In late March, expect a daytime average high temperature of 7°C (45°F) and a nighttime average of 0°C (32°F).
Time Zone
In March/April 2025, Toronto will observe Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), which is 4 hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-4).
Attire
The dress code for the Symposium is business casual for all occasions unless stated otherwise.
Currency
The Canadian dollar (symbol: $; code: CAD) is the currency of Canada. It is abbreviated with the dollar sign $, or sometimes Can$ or C$ to distinguish it from other dollar-denominated currencies. It is divided into 100 cents (¢).
Credit cards – especially Visa and Mastercard – are widely accepted in Toronto’s restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops.

Electricity
In Canada, the standard voltage is 110-120 V (with a standard frequency of 60 Hz). European plugs (220 V) are not compatible with Canadian electrical sockets and require a plug adapter or converter to run electrical appliances.

The official language of the Symposium is English.
Liability & Insurance
The Symposium organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to the private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Please do not leave any personal belongings unattended at any time, inside or outside the session halls.
