The Human–AI–Robot Teaming Technical Group (HART) was established to serve Human Factors and Ergonomics Society members and individuals who share an interest in studying teamwork among humans, artificial intelligence (AI), and robots, including the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the human–AI–robot team and team components. The Technical Group promotes multidisciplinary collaboration in leading-edge advancement of human factors, AI, and robotics to achieve effective teamwork in various application fields..The Human–AI–Robot Teaming Technical Group strives to organize human factors and ergonomics researchers’ efforts in the state-of-art of Human–AI–Robot Teaming research and applications, collectively address the critical theoretical and practical challenges, and provide interdisciplinary solutions that enhance human factors research with advanced technology testbeds and analytic techniques. The Technical Group also aims to use the strength of the Human Factors / Ergonomics community to help AI / robotics researchers advance their research development.
All officers serve one-year terms (calendar year). The Technical Group Vice Chair and Technical Group Vice Program Chair automatically become Chairs of the respective positions after one calendar year and a call for nominations is issued each fall for new Vice Chairs.
