The Training Technical Group’s (TTG) primary goal is to exchange information among members interested in all aspects of human factors as applied to training systems to improve system performance, develop innovative training for human-machine teaming, and ultimately enhance safety and performance outcomes across diverse industries.
Training technology has advanced dramatically in recent years with the advent of low-cost computer-generated displays, training approaches using artificial intelligence and virtual reality, and the networking of computers for training. The group is committed to creating a connected environment to share the latest insights into training contexts.
The group is dedicated to supporting students and early career researchers, and as such, there are three awards available in the Technical Group, “Best Paper Award,” “Best Proposal Award,” and “Best Poster Award.”
All officers serve one-year terms (calendar year). The Technical Group Vice Chair and Technical Group Vice Program Chair automatically become Chairs of the respective positions after one calendar year and a call for nominations is issued each fall for new Vice Chairs.
